CITY BREAKZ - Room 2 Manoeuvre

CITY BREAKZ is an outdoor pop-up-hip-hop performance, which takes place throughout city and town landscapes, where everything can become a dance floor.

Four Dancers each armed with a piece of linoleum and a sound system journey through urban environments, throwing shapes as they navigate the uneven surfaces, angles and gradients of the city. Eventually finding each other and the perfect ‘spot’ to get down…

Choreographed by Tony Mills (Artistic Director of Room 2 Manoeuvre and Dance Base Edinburgh) the show toured across Scotland during summer 2020.

The piece features 4 dancers, each specialising in a range of disciplines (Breaking, Popping, Housing, etc). Each dancer leads a unique trail around the chosen city, allowing audience members to choose their own adventure.
